President Beau Bergeron’s rookie year in office is turning out to be more than he bargained for. An aggressive Chinese admiral is pushing for a big naval showdown with the U.S. fleet in the South China Sea. And if that’s not enough to occupy Beau’s time, the sudden appearance of the ghosts of past presidents is about to push him over the edge. While they dole out advice, drink his beer, play practical jokes and ogle the first lady, Beau tries to figure out if his predecessors are helping him or pushing the country closer to war. His crazy college buddies aren’t helping, either, as they hatch a plan for a little bayou-style ghost busting – if they can get a voodoo priestess and a lucky rooster past the Secret Service. Can America survive the weekend and the Ghosts of Bayou Potomac?

The Ghosts of Bayou Potomac edition by Louis Tridico Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

Very fun read...good characters and a great read...I actually had my computer nearby and looked up rivers and cities and other things....it was a good way to read a book...I love this author...
Thank you Mr. Tridico for such a well-written and entertaining novel! I really enjoyed reading about a White House with a Louisiana flavor and presidential ghosts. I happened to be visiting Washington, D.C. as I read this novel, and was pleased with the attention to detail. Loved all the presidential history and the accurate descriptions of the many sites found in the city. The military confrontation gave just the right amount of suspense without weighing down the story.
I look forward to reading many more books by this author.

. At first I wasn't sure I was going to keep reading this book. I stuck with it and sped through the rest of it
Very grafic descriptions. It was almost like watching a movie instead of reading a book.
There was suspense, historical facts and a lot of humor. Something for everyone. I'm sure there were misspelled words and grammatical errors and other things a real critic would point out but this is my review and I ignored the errors and really enjoyed the book.
Based on the cover and the title, I was expecting the book to be a bit on the "dark" side. It's actually more of a light read, and even sort of humorous. I appreciated the way the author was non-partisan with his politics--impossible to tell the president's political affiliation. That made it possible to avoid political stereotypes.
Good Lord, where to begin? Former presidents "haunting" a current president in The White House. That's where you begin. It's a premise that could go for miles. And Tridico takes you there. And while the comedic moments are where his story excels, the book's conflict (U.S. fleet in South China Sea) isn't a bad little narrative. Absolutely helps payoff the purpose of these "dead presidents" showing their faces. And really, this thing has visual comedy written all over it. John Goodman as Grover Cleveland? Patrick Warburton as Millard Fillmore? Google it. He's perfect.
this was most assuredly a very good read. they have it listed as a paranormal but it should have been listed as a comedic paranormal. this could be for a very good movie of the week. I loved the characters even the rooster. it was a very good read. should have more like this one. thank you, !! linda
