Fun book, easy to follow. Photography Was great.
Love this book!! I have only read a few chapters so far but have learned so much that I didn't know about my favorite city in the world!!
This book is not you normal tour book. It's research and easy to enjoy text make the city come alive with the background and insights of the major attractions and those that are more obscure one too. A Must have!

FLORENCE GEMS & GIANTS is an incredibly comprehensive book on my favorite Italian city. I've been there three times and learn a little more about this Italian Renaissance Masterpiece every time I go. This fall I will have Patty Civalleri's fabulous book and will get to explore many of this amazing city's secrets. Better than a tour guide and I can go at my own pace and really see what is most important to me instead of the usual tourist locations. Thank you Patty!
I have been to Italy, and Florence in particular, so very many times. Let me just say that this book will change how I look at Florence from this point forward. It is just fabulous. I am also recommending it to friends and family to go to Italy, and also will recommend it to people who are going for the first time and always ask me about details of the different cities. This is the best travel book I ever read and I have traveled to many parts of the world over the last 50 years. It is not just the usual travel info but adds humor, intrigue, history and art with the most amazing photography too. It's the only book you need for the complete Florence experience!
I sincerely hope Ms Civalleri continues writing this quality of travel books to many other parts of the world.
